The Department of Mass Communication encapsulates a range of academic disciplines, beginning from the fundamental principles of the field of Mass Media and Communication and heading towards the discipline’s wider arenas including practical assignments and research-oriented approaches. The BA Mass Communication gives a thrust on analytical ability to understand the roles and effects of mass media on society and life, and supplement students to attain media production skills through extensive practical work. In an age of information overload where technology has transformed everything related to it irrespective of the distance and information and data has gathered primacy, a course in Mass Communication is integral so that we students are trained for the challenges of the information age in order to be the shape-shifters and develop and progress. The graduate program in BA Mass Communication gathers academic quality, professional skills and an ability for social action. We equip students with the state-of- the- art studio that gives them practical experience in the making process of mass media. Students are also given special training at the MediaOne studio throughout the three year of course. This is as a part of the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the college and MediaOne channel.
