The Department of English is functional with English being given as a common course for all the Under Graduate programmes of the College and instructed in a full-fledged manner for B.A English programme.  An integrated and interdisciplinary approach to different perspectives on social and intellectual happenings is provided as a departmental objective. The department also leverages the students to polish both their literary and linguistic interest along with enabling them to face the competitive world through a disciplined career plan. Nevertheless, the department always stay up-t-date in the area of developing English communicative skills of its students. The department has a solid backing of an English Club. The club is open for all the students of the college and tries to play a role in changing student approach towards the Lingua Franca. The department also supervises a dynamic group called Creative Commune. The group spearheads cultural and creative activities with students leading from the front.
