Ideal College of Arts and Science (ICAS) is a Government of Kerala recognized college affiliated to University of Calicut, established in the year 2012. Envisaged as an institution established that contributes to the social uplift through education, Ideal College stands unique ever since its inception. Being the part of Religious Education Trust (RET), which enjoys the distinction of being the most advanced educational movement in the region, Ideal College offers instruction at undergraduate and postgraduate levels as well as comprehensive guidance in all the aspects of student personality. The administration and management of the college are rooted on the ideals of six decades old RET formed under the visionary insights of renowned personalities like Haji V P Muhammed Ali, Haji M Abdulla Kutti Moulavi, PM Bavachi Haji and T K Abdulla Moulavi. The phases of its growth and popularity run parallel to the gradual emergence of the Muslim community of North Malabar. The institution witnessed the eventual empowerment of the community from the clutches of superstition and educational backwardness to the peak of enlightenment and social prestige. Besides ICAS, RET has been successfully running prestigious educational ventures like College of Quran (1956) and Ideal Public School (1992).
